Muslim Mirror is pleased to announce the second edition of its annual flagship initiative, “The 100 Most Influential Indian Muslims of 2025.” Following the wide recognition and public engagement generated by the inaugural edition, this year’s list continues the publication’s effort to document and highlight the contributions of Indian Muslims who have demonstrated significant influence across diverse sectors of public life.

Last year, Muslim Mirror, in collaboration with the Minorities Media Foundation, released “The 100 Most Influential Indian Muslims of 2024,” an initiative that sought to acknowledge individuals whose work has had a measurable impact at the national level. The list featured professionals, scholars, social leaders, entrepreneurs, media figures, and public intellectuals whose contributions reflect leadership, resilience, and sustained commitment to society.

The response to the first edition was substantial. Within a week of its publication, the list recorded over one million views, indicating strong public interest and readership engagement. It also received wide circulation across digital platforms and social media. Subsequently, several individuals featured in the list were added to Wikipedia, reinforcing the visibility and perceived credibility of the initiative.

For the 2025 edition, the editorial team has adopted a broader and more inclusive approach. Alongside established personalities with long-standing public records, the list includes a significant number of young and emerging leaders whose work signals evolving trends in leadership and civic engagement. The inclusion of senior figures aims to document contributions that have shaped institutions and movements over decades, many of which remain underrepresented in mainstream narratives, particularly among younger audiences.

The selection process was guided by editorial assessment, public impact, consistency of contribution, and relevance to contemporary social and national discourse. While every effort has been made to ensure diversity of fields and perspectives, Muslim Mirror does not claim the list to be exhaustive. Influence is neither uniform nor easily quantifiable, and many individuals continue to contribute meaningfully beyond public visibility.
